I Investigated the Cancer District of Uttar Pradesh | Bharat Ek Khoj Ep17 | Unfiltered by Samdish

Water is one of the basic factors of human survival but in the Baghpat District of western Uttar Pradesh, water has become the reason for death. People in this region have been living under a web of diseases caused by the contaminated groundwater they consume daily.

In an attempt to understand the severity of the situation, we went to one of the gravely affected villages of Baghpat called Gangnauli. Whether a person is 10 years old or 50, illnesses like Stomach infections, Bone deformities and Cancer have affected every second person in this village. From requesting clean drinking water to fighting a court case for it...the villagers have tried it all.
