उत्तर प्रदेश (UP), मध्य प्रदेश (MP) और राजस्थान (Rajasthan ) में बुख़ार के मामले बढ़ रहे हैं। इस रहस्यमयी बुख़ार (Mystry fever) की जांच जारी है। अब बताया जा रहा है कि बुख़ार के कुछ मरीज़ों को स्क्रब टायफ़स (Scrub typhus ) नाम की बीमारी है ये वायरस नहीं है बल्कि एक बैक्टीरिया है जिसके इनफेक्शन से मरीज़ में वायरल बुख़ार जैसे लक्षण नजर आते हैं लेकिन ये वायरल नहीं बैक्टीरियल फ़ीवर है। इसके लक्षण ऐसे होते हैं जो मलेरिया या डेंगू जैसे लग सकते हैं। तो क्या हैं Scrub typhus के symptoms और इसकी पहचान (diagnosis) कैसे होती है? क्योंकि अगर इलाज में देरी हुई तो मरीज़ की जान भी जा सकती है। इसके लक्षण (symptoms) इन बीमारियों (diseases) के लक्षणों से मिलते जुलते हैं इसलिए इसकी पहचान मुश्किल होती है।
