Like dengue, platelet count may decrease in the blood of a patient suffering from scrub typhus. If the disease is detected within a week then it can be treated. Otherwise the problem may increase. This can cause the body parts to get confused. If the patient is not getting fever, then the blood sample should be tested in microbiology lab. Last year, cases of scrub typhus were seen in other districts including Kolkata.

In the wake of dengue deaths, the Health Department of West Bengal has advised all hospitals to conduct a check of dengue and 'scrub typhus' of a person suffering from fever for five days. Government of Bengal has asked government and private hospitals to strictly follow the medical rules based on the guidelines of the World Health Organization. In view of the review of the current situation of scrub typhus and the district-wide spread of infection, the State Health Department will also hold a meeting with experts and departmental officials.

However, medical experts believe that the disease is not incurable. No need to panic There is no need to be afraid of this infection. This infection can be dealt with only by paying attention to cleanliness. Patients suffering from this infection have also been confirmed in Kolkata. Scrub typhus is a common infection and also its treatment. When asked the state health officer Ajay Kumar Chakraborty, he said that the condition of scrub typhus is being investigated.
According to experts, scrub typhus has more effect in rural areas of Bengal. This disease is more likely to happen due to exposure to pets. It is generally seen that children are prone to scrub typhus. This bacteria found in animals is called flea or mite. When a flea bites a man, red rashes come out on the body. Scrub typhus begins with headache, cold, and mild fever. Headache also increases with high fever if not treated in time.

According to doctors of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the insect (flea) is also found on the body of mice. Injections and sprays are used to keep pets away from this bacteria. The patient can be cured in a week and a half if this disease is treated on time. Mice can also be carriers of this disease. In areas where the number of mice is high, there is a possibility of outbreak of scrub typhus. It is a smaller bacterium than bedbugs, wherever it bites, there is a scar. This bacteria can also be found in the grass and bushes of the park
