लंदन जा रहा एयर इंडिया का विमान बुधवार को अहमदाबाद हवाई अड्डे से उड़ान भरने के कुछ ही देर बाद हादसे का शिकार हो गया. इस विमान में 242 मुसाफिर सवार थे. हादसे के बाद बड़े पैमाने पर आपातकालीन प्रतिक्रिया की जरूरत पड़ी. यह घटना शहर के मेघानीनगर इलाके के पास हुई. हादसे के बाद कई तरह के सवाल भी उठ रहे हैं. इसी में कहा जा रहा है कि पायलटों ने 'मेडे कॉल' भेजा था, हालांकि फिर अचानक उनकी तरफ खामोशी छा गई.
