In Punjab, Saurabh Munjal was born to a family of entrepreneurs. He co-owns a regulated B2B pharma company with his brother and father. Growing up with business discussions at the dinner table, entrepreneurship skills naturally developed in him. He attended St. Stephens School for his schooling and later earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Punjab University. His MBA was completed at the Management Development Institute of Singapore, where he also took an entrepreneurship course.

Saurabh Munjal, along with Saurabh Bhutna and Nikhil Doda, his cousins, established Archian Foods in 2017. Their aim was to introduce flavorful "desi" drinks to India, targeting both rural and urban markets to set a new standard in taste. Their Mohali-based company introduced the brand Lahori after observing a lack of organized players beyond the top competitors in the desi drink category.

Saurabh Munjal, the CEO and Co-founder of Lahori, shared with yourstory.com, "We opted to use a traditional name for our beverages to reflect the influence of Indian cuisine and street food on our entire product range. Rock salt, also known as Lahori, plays a vital role in many of our recipes, hence the term 'Lahori' was chosen."
